Notes:

#1-Runners must have a Tyvek bracelet put on at every Aid Station – 50k runners should finish with a total of 3 bracelets – 100k runners should finish with a total of 7 bracelets

#2-Although the distance between Aid Stations is more than usual- there will be several local businesses open to aid for the runners. Runners are welcome to stop and receive aid at any non-Aid Station locations.

Important Notes:

Fell running type soles are highly recommended for this course. The volcano sections can be extremely muddy and slippery if it rains. These shoes are most necessary in the section from El Porvenir to Los Pescaditos (Volcan Maderas ascent/descent)

• Due to changes in climate zones during the course, temperatures can range from 100-60 degrees Fahrenheit. Bring proper clothing for these extremes.

• Bring plenty of bug repellent and sunscreen

• Runner’s are required to check in at every Aid Station for a bracelet as well as at the Volcan Maderas and Concepcion summits

• Runner’s are allowed to stop for aid at non-Aid Station locations such as stores, restaurants, hostels along the course.

• Runner’s are NOT allowed to take rides of any sort during the course of the race – Motorcycles, Bicycles, Cars, Trucks, Horses,Cows, etc.. are NOT allowed.

• Runner’s must report to the nearest Aid Station race offical if they need to drop from the race. This is imperative, otherwise we will be out looking for you.
